Privacy Policy

What we collect
We collect only what we need to run NESTIQ well:
- Account info: Your name, email address, and role (tenant or landlord)
- Property info: Property address, unit details, tenancy dates
- Documents: Tenancy contracts, notices, receipts you choose to upload
- Photos: Move-in / move-out photos you submit via nestiq Vision
- Payment info: Billing is handled by Stripe — we never see your full card number
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, to improve the platform
Why we collect it
We use your data to:
- Operate and improve NESTIQ
- Send you important notifications about your account and tenancy
- Provide you with your subscription and billing history
- Power Nia, our AI assistant, with context about your tenancy (with your permission)
- Comply with UAE law and respond to legitimate legal requests
We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Who we share data with
We share your data with a small number of trusted service providers:
- Supabase — database and authentication (UAE/EU data residency)
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
- Anthropic — powers Nia, our AI assistant. Conversations may be used by Anthropic to improve their models per their privacy policy. We do not share your personal documents with Anthropic.
- Resend — transactional email delivery
All providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to NESTIQ.
Nia and AI features
When you use Nia, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API. We do not send your uploaded documents, photos, or personal files to Nia unless you explicitly paste content into the chat.
Nia is provided for informational purposes. Do not share sensitive financial information (passport numbers, bank account details) in chat.
nestiq Vision photos
Photos you upload via nestiq Vision are stored securely in encrypted storage. They are:
- Accessible only to you (and your landlord / tenant, if you share access)
- Timestamped at the moment of upload
- Never used to train any AI model
- Retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years after deletion (to support potential dispute proceedings)
UAE data residency
NESTIQ stores all primary data within the UAE or EU (Supabase Frankfurt region). We comply with UAE Federal Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you
- Export your data (Settings → Account → Export data)
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Object to specific uses of your data

NESTIQ uses essential cookies only — these are required for login sessions and security. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
